     That depends really. Does liking one person out of a demographic mean you don't dislike their demographic/s as a whole? I mean, I know there are plenty of memes of white supremacists with yellow fever and/or antisemites with jew wives.. But I don't think the odd exception means someone can't hate X/Y/Z. Dunbar's number (maximum meaningful human connections) is only ~150, and the human population is currently estimated at ~8,018,395,750. So only 0.0000000187% of the population can be meaningful to us.
     
     I think disliking/hating 99.9999999813% of humanity is probably safe to round up enough to call someone a misanthrope lol.

     most people are nice, law abiding and care about their friends and family.
     if you live in a nice suburb with close knit groups of neighbors, chances of being a "misanthrope" seems really low to me.

     If most people are nice and law abiding, we wouldn't need government/police and it wouldn't matter what economic environment you were raised in. It would all just naturally occur without needing enforcers. Also, plenty of school shooters/spree killers/psychopaths come from nice suburbs tbh.
     
     Personally I just don't like primates, whether or not they wear shoes, they're/we're my least favourite mammal. We're an especially self destructive and wasteful branch of them too, the world as a whole would probably be better off if we never existed. Maybe if we destroy ourselves with AI, something more intelligent/beneficial will replace us. That's about the most positive I think we can realistically hope for humanity, a stepping stone rather than mere dinosaurs waiting for an extinction event.
