i mean, you never interact with groups like that. you cant generalize over "humanity" based on people you meet.
most people are nice, law abiding and care about their friends and family.
if you live in a nice suburb with close knit groups of neighbors, chances of being a "misanthrope" seems really low to me.
if you grow up in a ghetto and you hear crime around you 24/7, the sample selection of humanity is bound to make everyone the distaste for people in general.
