   Great. Now my brain is scrambled over trying to figure out exactly what "preheat your oven" actually means?

   Aren't I heating it up when I set the temp? Does it mean "the heat before the heat" ??? How do I heat something BEFORE I heat it???

   HOW I ASK YOU!?!?

     It prolly could stand to have a better name, though.

     @foo so then, to preheat means to heat before you hit your temp?

     How else do you hit the temp??? Why don't we just say "heat your oven to 425f" ?

     (and yes I know this a is a stupid question. I'm just entertaining myself.)

     "Heat oven to, but not over, 425F" would be more correct???

     @Mrfunkedude @beingtam I do same with the air fryer ? instructions said not to cook sausages or greasy food, but sounded like a conspiracy so chucked them in too ??

     We started using an air fryer more than the oven. It doesn't require "preheat" or heat before heat.

     Obviously that wouldn't work for baking your bread but they are convenient.

     @That_One_Guy Our air fryer has a preheat setting, and we use the air fryer instead of the oven or grill now.

     I believe mine has a preheat setting I just don't use it. I'll just dump in fries or whatever else and cook them and give them a shake every few minutes. I think the air fryer and Instapot see more use than all the other appliances.

     @Mrfunkedude same problem as with the hot water heater. Where do people get all the hot water from to put in the hot water heaters?
