    Okay, fine. Activity trackers for health and fitness I get. But has anyone done activity trackers for people with chronic illness that helps you *keep within your spoons*?

    For some people it can be easy to overdo it. Also eg if you've had COVID or have long COVID, would it be helpful to have an activity tracker that explicitly helps you take it slow and not over-exert yourself?

      @thomasfuchs yeah I get alerts about high HR from my watch, but you know it'd be interesting if it also said hey take it easy maybe we reduce your activity goal today?

      @thomasfuchs @danhon @amyhoy on my Fitbit, I can customize the alerts for how may steps taken. So if you lower the number of steps taken, that could be one way of tracking "you've walked too much today". You can also customized the heart rate alerts.

      @Doomed_Daniel @thomasfuchs @danhon for mindfulness and meditation it’s common, ime, to breath in through the nose and out of the mouth to relax the body. And thus also helps reduce heart rate :)

      @thomasfuchs @danhon
      Recently when having an ECG done I learned that my heartrate goes down significantly when breathing in deeply (and that seems to be generally the case, if I understood the cardiologist correctly).
      I found that super interesting and a bit surprising, never heard of this (and how do you even reliably measure the heartrate when just breathing has such an effect)
