@dheadshot @thomasfuchs is edlin a clone of ed specifically for DOS? If so, is this clone of a clone?
@njvack @thomasfuchs I know, but without a templating system means that editing a line means retyping most of it. With Edlin/FREDLIN, you can insert the working bits from the existing line!
@dheadshot @thomasfuchs to be fair, if you’re a real web programmer on linux, ed is there for you too
@thomasfuchs @njvack I wanted to try getting it properly working on Windows and that swallowed the rest of the day. I've got as far as fixing the bugs I found in the Windows version of my input library so it works properly now without littering the file with bad characters: https://github.com/dheadshot/libqdinp2 . I guess tomorrow I'll hopefully get FREDLIN on Windows running reliably!
