I think as someone who has lived and struggled with ADHD my entire life, for me the most disturbing feeling I get from it is when I forget something so completely, that being reminded of it feels like someone is dropping the memory into my brain out of no where.
I feel exhilarated that the memory is back yet at the same time feel stupid for forgetting and shocked at it's unexpectedness.
It kind of fucks with my brain a bit.

@Mrfunkedude This happens to me on social media a lot. Like, I will see a post that I think is funny and go to boost or fav it and see that the post is months old and I already did. And then Iʼm like, what? No! I have never seen this before in my life!
Also, when I was still on FB it would show me years-old things that I had posted that I didnʼt remember writing and which didnʼt even sound like they were written in my voice.

Not really related but I suffered sleep paralysis once, scared the shit out of me. I was awake and felt like I was yelling for my wife who just kept walking around ignoring me. It was a profoundly unsettling feeling...

@Mrfunkedude if it helps at all, I forget to eat multiple times a week and have to schedule showers, but still remember my childhood phone number and the number for my ICQ account :P

@Mrfunkedude You're lucky! The only feeling it gives me is creeping unsettledness, as I once again question my reality, asking myself if it could have really happened. Then I find myself fighting between the two possibilities as I try to mesh together two seemingly incongruous timelines.

We gave them half the data we do now but could literally ask ICQ, “Give a list of people with this city, gender, and age in their profile” and it was like “Okay, here you go…”
Now messaging apps know what color socks I’m wearing, whether I am circumcised, and have a gambling pool open on what I’ll eat for lunch but finding people with any sort of demographic precision is half impossible.
Maybe that’s good though ( the search fuzz not the data hoarding.)
