omg Chuck from Strong Towns wrote the best smackdown of a "why don't you just let people live the way they want to live" replyguy that I've ever seen.
It's so good that I'm willing to link to the Bad Site so that people can read it:

Chuck has SO much more patience for this bullshit than I do.
I guess that's why he's the advocate and I'm just the angry YouTuber.
Cached (barely) US Kindle giveaway: 10 copies of Guy Gavriel Kay's TIGANA. This was the first book of the author's after the Fionavar Tapestry that I read. I think it's midway between the pure fantasy of Fionavar and the historical fantasies he has made a career out of. I liked it a lot but it is ... really depressing in a lot of ways. Also one of the best magical curses I've ever seen.
It's a good time to say "FUCK YOU EVIL FASCIST INVADERS" I say.
There's a recent video by @paigesaunders about why people should join Mastodon and the Fediverse.
It takes a VERY different approach to other vids you may have seen.
It's, um... very straight-talking with some strong language 😱 and it's written by someone who found Mastodon too confusing. This is possibly its strength though, as it may reach people that others cannot.
Anyway, see what you think, and if you know someone who might find it useful share it with them:

I think this poll can tell us a lot of things.
It tells us that single user instance can struggle to be seen.
It shows us that re-blogging is key to being seen.
It shows us that more work needs to be done towards discoverability in the federated timeline.
It tells us that a LOT of people don't even know what the Federate timeline is because the Mastodon app doesn't have that feature yet. ( a HUGE mistake I think )
Were YOU surprised by the results? What do you take from it?
