   @dymaxion @whitequark @Di4na I mean, I am aware of the ongoing legislation efforts towards making sense out of the computer ecosystem when it comes to liability question.

   But I think it's pretty unrealistic to expect this to be figured out without at least multiple phases.

   If some legal ecosystem decide to punish OSS maintainers, this is just going to affect the performance of that legal ecosystem at this point.

   So I doubt that a stupid law would stay for too long, except in the US?

   @georgetakei If it's more than 15 years old, then you're edging into an entirely new generation of people reaching adulthood since that time point.

   So I'd consider anything older than that vintage.

   As an autist, I have a special ability to work with abstractions on higher levels. So, let me see, if I can help you.

   Official definition:
   > Gender refers to the characteristics of women, men, girls and boys that are socially constructed. This includes norms, behaviours and roles associated with being a woman, man, girl or boy, as well as relationships with each other. 

   So, when it comes to roles of men and women, that are socially constructed to improve relationships between each other, I can think of few examples.

   Work:
   Men is supposed to work 10h a day, then come home, and relax with family.
   Women are supposed to take care of the low intensity needs of her husband and childern, as well as educate them until they can start taking care of themselves.

   Value:
   Men are valued for their hard work, ambition, and ability to protect/provide for his family.
   Women are valued for their purity and ability to care and rise other people when they hit their low point.

   So, we know, that literally all men(gender) will be educated for job market, get a job, and be dating freely, while all women(gender) will be raised knowing how to cook as well as care for people. And they will be warned harshly against serial dating.

   Therefore, literally every person in this society is man according to the gender theory if applied correctly.

   And then you also realize that every single immigrant at our border IS SEEKING ASYLUM right?

   Irrelevant how many want asylum. In order to be an asylum seeker you must apply. You are allowed to enter illegal to apply, so you arent illegal the moment you enter. But once you’ve been here for some time without applying for asylum you are no longer an asylum seeker, you are just an illegal immigrant at that point.

   So again, I have no problem with them entering and seeking assylum with the government after entering, that is perefectly legal. But those who never register absolutely should either be deported, or at least forced through the process to determine if they.

   And no, not everyone entering the border is an asylum seeker. Many are im sure, you saying just because someone entered illegal they are 100% asylum seekers is absolute lunacy.

   And frankly prosecuting FUCKING HUMANS FOR WANTING A BETTER LIFE TURNS MY STOMACH

   Turns mine too, Im all for giving them an appropriate legal path to help.

   In *our* case, we have solar power system that absorbes most of the heating costs, and our monthly bill to pay off the units is ~$100. I know that we're saving money, but it's difficult for me to figure out the break even point.

   So, in some cases, you make the argument that heat pumps are simply more convenient. Whisper quiet. Heat AND cool in the same system. That argument, frankly, is what convinced my wife when we bought a house without central AC.

   But yes! Trans people fall _all over the place_ on these sorts of issues. It's good to listen.

   That's part of the challenge though, right? There's no one canonical answer. It's hard. There's difficulty and nuance.

   That's my entire point.

   So have your reactions! Good or bad. Have your views! Whatever they happen to be.

   But stop villainizing people who have come to a different place.

   Especially when you do so using a group that THEY ARE PART OF AND YOU ARE NOT.
