A much more close up still photo of mostly just the waist and upper half of the skirt from the front. The pleats are roughly 1,5cm in width everywhere except the centre front, where there is a much wider box pleat. The dense and heavy but soft fabric hangs gracefully down from the pleats. There is no visible waistband, it has been sewn on onto the reverse and only the ghost line of spaced backstitch shows where it is.

Finished the skirt (or petticoat, as it was called in the 18th century) late last night but waited until light (such as it is) to document it. Was half of an old duvet cover, now is a house skirt!
Worn here on top of everything else I was wearing, so it looks a bit more voluminous than it really is. 😄 The front pleats came out really nice!
