this is the only task software i've found that satisfies all of my feature needs + isn't a cloud/saas app (this is paid software but it runs offline on my computer and can sync with my own WebDAV server). i like it enough i run a macos vm on my linux laptop to use it there 😅

took apart my cat's feeder and found like 20 inside :cat_alien: i am so ready to leave the subtropics

macos is a toy operating system i swear

why allow useful customization like disabling animations and changing the behavior of how windows open from shortcuts when you can instead *checks notes* detect gestures in your webcam to draw fireworks over your face

@scathach@stereophonic.space yeah i mean when i had much less experience/ability to be picky with work i was interviewing at some pretty evil places 🙃 but I am lucky enough to be somewhat picky now

some of the remaining lessons i learned very slowly though :jokergirl: when you realize after two consecutive nearly year long relationships where the other person suddenly realizes their cold feet but doesn't communicate effectively what's happening and you have to just understand it's a lost cause and there's nothing you could have done differently or better it was just never going to work out and doomed from the start what was i thinking

@feld@friedcheese.us huh nice, what kinda storage? storage speed was my postgres difficulty last i ran a pleroma instance, once the db hit over 50gb queries would time out until i moved to fast ssds. i stopped around 2022, unno if the schema or postgres's performance has changed since then.
