I've been saying one of the things AI highlights is precisely this: that if you steal one book, it's a crime, but if you steal ALL THE BOOKS (and you're a corp) then it's "amazingly good business" or at least vulture capitalists will throw money at you &you'll get away with it.

I'm not gonna murder anyone over AI but it's just one more incoherence to a broken legal system that puts all the rich & corps above the law.

Lady Liberty was a big hit—brought 200 zines and gave away every last one—the Hope and Joy zines went fast.

A ton of people took my picture.

Can't tell you how excited people were to get free zines from Lady Liberty. Came up to me, wanted to see the box.

It helped that the zines were labeled, but when Joy and Hope were gone and only Mutual Aid and Movement Building were left, it was kind of ironic commentary!

EVERYONE wanted a picture of Lady Liberty. Many wanted a picture WITH Lady Liberty. Especially kids,but adults too. Lots of pro picture-takers too, probably some press.

I was hoping there'd be another Statue of Liberty...and I was not disappointed! Only pix I have of the protest (hands were full)!
