#Today I am drinking an incredibly nice coffee. Single origin, roasted locally.

Why yes, I live in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, how can you tell?

TBH, I never thought I'd care about my coffee this much. I was a tea drinker. But then I moved north of the city and Things Happened

Time for my daily dither. #Today I need to make several phone calls and as many people with #MECFS will know, phone calls are exhausting. If there is anything that made you a little on edge before you got this illness, it will completely wreck you once you've got it.

#Today it will reach a nice 24 degrees (celsius) but it is cloudy so it will be a bit muggy.

And a friend and I are going for a drive up to the hills so I can buy some roses. They're going in the communal/owners corp area here, with the enthusiastic agreement of the bloke who is going to be seeing them every time he looks out his window, and the indifference of the other owners.

A variety I want is not available anywhere that does delivery. So off we go up to the hills!

#Today I'd love to be outside, but I have a few too many little things to do.

Except for the laundry pile, that's a huge thing to do.

Got a meal prep carer, that's good. Got to make some phone calls, that's bad - I hate the phone.

And the space around me - this spot where I spend most of my time - is awash with empty envelopes, some with useful things written on them, along with dirty tissues, cat fur, remotes and other random things. And some packs of seeds. (Did I mention I'd rather be outside? These packs of seeds aren't helping me focus).

#Today I have physio, and then a video call with my case manager. I'm really hoping my physio can tell me what the hell I did to my left thumb the other day, and also tell me it's okay I don't need to go and get anything *done* to it.

My case manager and I will be going through the list of reasonable requests, that she okayed last time we spoke (last year), about which I have heard nothing. And then I'm going to ask about administering my own care package. Fun!

@Mrfunkedude I'm delighted by this. I was just wandering about wondering what sort of hashtag I would start - or find - that would be just about "today". Not competitive. Not goals (necessarily). Not inspirational on purpose. Maybe sad. Whatever. Just...today.
