I had a dream we were going to crash the orange turd's local campaign fundraiser. For nefarious reasons? I don't know. I was practicing spitting. But I ended up asking a woman at an elevator how we could get in. She confessed she spent her life savings on the tickets to the fundraiser, and I actually comforted her she lost all her money! I'm just so ME even in my stupid dreams. Ugh. (don't think we got in)

Me: <Trying out goofy faces in the car visor mirror. Settling on the best one, I turn to Hubs>

Hubs: That's the face you had on our wedding day!

It's not the easy path. I may have to face some hard truths about myself, and it takes effort to change old habits.
Must remember along the way to forgive myself for past behavior, and for setbacks. But recognizing the fact that saying to myself that I "can't change" traits, that I absolutely can work on, is a form of self-indulgence that does not serve me. Thinking I am "cursed" to always be the same way I've always been. Not even bothering to work on things or self-reflect because "I'm cursed" "this is how I am". How very convenient.
Not going to fall into that trap, anymore. I can make small improvements, bit by bit. Changing the dialogue of :"This is just how I am." to "Hmm, why am I doing this?---Let's examine it." 1/2
