Gave the divider a nice coat of this stuff, the multiplier is nearing completion!

The multiplier is done!
Transformer, multiplier and current limiting resistors are in oil, the 20 GOhm divider is installed and tested, now I only need the driver electronics and a nice box for this thing to stand on.
If I get excessive corona from the resistors I'll have to add grading rings at the end of the PCBs, but that will not be an issue.

Maaaan this is going to be fun!

so this is a fun rabbit hole

I wanted to look up what my SLA resin is made of, so I looked at the manufacturers MSDS and found this

"Sure", I thought, "60% Epoxy resin, this must be the monomer!" and threw that CAS number into the earch engine of my choice.

First result is this site

Cofirming the "Epoxy Resin", giving some other names, as well as a formula and molecular structure

Upon closer look I realized that molecule looks a bit funny... no epoxy group, and what are those halogens doing there?

Turns out:
That CAS is listed as Haloperidol, an antipsychiotic drug!

I have absolutely no idea how that happend, and how that mistake has spread over so many sites?!

Took apart a small little quadropole mass spectrometer, and the physics package is amazingly beautiful
