I think it is horrible to ask a grad student to put in a lot of effort, ask to collaborate, then finally make them leave with neither co-authorship, attribution nor acknowledgements.

I might find solace in knowing how prevalent this is. Let me know.

I think I am fairly happy with how Mastodon and other microblogging softwares work together using hashtags instead of algorithms. However for some reason Peertube and to a worser extent Pixelfed has not really opened up for me. I hypothesize it is due to:

Shortage of good content (videos and photos require more work, ofc).
Discoverability (hashtags do not truly describe the content or quality of a visual media)
Some other technical detail (protocols or UI/UX)

Attacking hospitals is atricious by all means. It feels to me that #Israel is making excuses to put all sorts of life support and humanitarian aid in disarray.

Edit: aaah I didn't see that you have tried it already. I was fairly happy with the aiohttp one. It can be configured to cache only if an OK status is obtained.

I found out it is a hardware bug. The bottom corners are not responsive to long presses. I rotate screen to landscape and then it works.

I have the bottom bar, but nothing happens with long press on ?. Only the local and federated icons respond to long presses saying "filter with regex".
