@georgetakei Ordinary people don't really have a voice, but you do. Have you considered addressing the UN and asking for sanctions against states violating the UN Declaration of Human Rights? Their products should be banned from international export, for example. Their legislators should be denied VISAs. There's lots the UN can do to name and shame - and economically impact - red states.

@TexasObserver As a nonprofit admin, let me remind you that have essentially received a grant. Grants don't last forever and they don't generally repeat. The purpose of the grant is to enable you to get your ducks in a row so the program is sustainable *without more grants.* Expecting perpetual grants is a not a viable funding model. You will have to develop a regular revemue model that can roll forward reliably. You got a brief reprieve. Use it wisely!

@jimcarroll @marleybits39 @david I can't tell if you're being snarky or not, lol. But yes, the profiteering model of search engine design with no regard for misinformation or manipulation pretty well guarantees it.

@marleybits39 @david It's the same problem, really, with *any* google search. It ignores what you know are the important key words and instead just grabs anything even remotely related that's 1) boosted for pay, 2) from a high traffic website, or 3) common words easy to find and probably already indexed. They're greedy & lazy. You can't find anything on google anymore due to the incredible amount of garbage it returns. Therefore their AI is doomed to be stupid. Even if their searches were good, recognizing patterns of words is still not *understanding* words and all their nuances. That's why google gives you nonsense completion suggestions. It's just mimicking. It can't look at the patterns of the sources it pulls from and see that they're misinformation or humor. It can't even look at the searches you've been doing to see what you're trying to find. Everything is essentially one-off. Human understanding is cumulative. We know a bad actor in one area is not trustworthy in other areas.

@georgetakei If like me you are feeling really unhappy with the #CollegeBoard decision to dumb down their curriculum to pacify white nationalists, I suggest you tell them how you feel:
