...and why aren't our biggest news organizations interested in *that* story?

I really hope the Democrats have a plan to counter GOP gaslighting in the months leading up to the election. After the #SCOTUS arguments today, it seems the conservatives are all on the same page when it comes to trying to convince millions of Americans that Trump is a normal candidate, a legitimate choice for president, and that these are normal times - millions want to believe it, so doesn't seem to be a terribly daunting task.

We know Israel isn't allowing fuel, food or water into Gaza.
We know there are over two million civilians in Gaza.

Why has no nation announced emergency humanitarian aid being organized or in-transit to Gaza? It will take days or weeks to get to people who need it.

Has the world decided that punishing civilians and/or facilitating revenge is what we do now? #politics

This article reminded me to mention that while pruning inactive accounts I follow, almost all of them were the home of prominent accounts I used to follow on Twitter - journalists, politicians, activists - that never bothered to very their Mastodon accounts, and haven't tooted since February 2023 or earlier. It must me be intentional - in the 8 o'clock hour, MSNBC and CNN Morning shows talked about the big 4 congressional leaders visiting the White House - and both networks mentioned McCarthy, McConnell and Schumer...because both networks must think Hakeem Jeffries does not actually exist. Anyone, including democrats or journalists, that suggest the Manhattan case against Trump is unnecessary, petty, political or spiteful, is undermining democracy & the rule of law.

Finding a way to hold him accountable for his *factually established* role in a conspiracy that sent another man to prison - despite his attempt to use his office & political power to avoid accountability - is *exactly* how the system is supposed to work. #politics #journalism
