Nineteen bags and the first of the three instructions booklets gives us the first level of the tower. There is a neat mechanism that makes the gates open in unison.

Bags 32 and 33 finish the exterior, begin the top section, and give is everyone’s (Aragorn excluded) favourite diplomat.

Bags 28 to 31 build up the throne room with secret doors that reveal the Palantír, and give us the Dark Lord himself.

Bags 20-27 build the second level, which slides in and clips to the base.

Bags 34 to 39 finish the top section. Look at its floppy little ears! Only the Eye itself left to go…

Bag 40 finishes off with the great Eye itself, which is a truly delightful piece of Lego geometry.

@clacke @RedHyppo @jdskog Actually, the more I think about it, it might very well be about just Feet of Clay itself. In addition to the racism, it also introduces the gender stuff. But of course they are all good, and well worth the read.

@jdskog @RedHyppo As an aside, when it comes to Discworld, my first love was Rincewind. Then, when I got to the witch books, Granny Weatherfax became my favourite character. And then, with the City Watch books, I finally found my true love, commander Vimes.

@jdskog @RedHyppo Yeah, but Met at Arms is where it really starts going in the direction described in the screencap. Although Feet of Clay might be an even better fit now that I think about it. Anyway, they are all good.

Let’s do a proper #introduction. I am Slothdude, a hobbyist #sloth #artist. I used to draw sloths on an app called #DrawQuest until it shut down, and then for a while drew sloth portraits of people on another app called French Girls until that shut down, too. Now I draw sloths wherever I can, usually with an iPad app #Procreate. I do slothified versions of fine #art as well as cartoons and #fanart. I am also a #lego enthusiast.
