Switched to a new keyboard the other day, and this is taking a lot more getting used to than I expected it would. I keep hitting the wrong keys constantly.

@chris not to mention that there are 4 of us living here (and 1 of them spends all his free time tinkering with cars and mowers in his shed, with lights and tools plugged in), and we don't live within waking distance of anything, so, it's a minimum of a 20 mile round trip every time we have to go somewhere.

@chris yeah, heat does seem to take a bit more power than AC. And, obviously, we have a lot more cold weather than you had in Florida (but not worse than you have in Chicago now).

Here's our December report from our thermostat (I wish it showed average outdoor temperatures with it, but I guess it doesn't).

@chris yeah, our house is fully electric; no gas. And don't forget that our primary vehicle is fully electric, as well.

This past billing cycle was our first full cycle of #Solar production. It wasn't a particularly sunny month, so we didn't generate that much power, but we did save a little bit on our electric bill (not nearly what my solar loan payment is, yet, but a decent chunk for a winter month).

This current cycle is shaping up to be worse than last cycle, but I'm hoping that the sun will start shining soon.

Over the summer, I fully expect to export more than we use, but it seems like a long wait.

I've heard a handful of younger folks (mid-20s) say they stopped watching after only about half an hour. Not sure what that's about.

At least 2 or 3 times/day, I get a voicemail message from "Jessica" in the "underwriting department" trying to contact me about some loan (it's a scam). No matter how many times I block and report spam, it always pops back up again (mostly because they use a different phone number every time).

I really wish there was a way for these spam utilities built into our phones to analyze the content of a message and automatically remove it if we've received the exact same message more than X times

I really hate that "minimizing" Zoom makes the video window get small & move to the corner. In Windows, since clicking an app icon in the taskbar minimizes/un-minimizes an app normally, I accidentally click the Zoom icon occasionally, and clicking it again doesn't "un-minimize" it; it does nothing. I have to click the icon in the video window to do it.

@chris @redcrew Cary Grant is one the things that Deb & I bonded over early. He was a magnificent actor in both drama and comedy.

@WarnerCrocker I get Max as part of my mobile phone plan, but pay for the whole Disney bundle (I know other mobile companies have deals on those services), so it will be interesting to see how that all works out.

I have absolutely no interest in their coffee drinks that feature olive oil, and I am utterly disgusted by the idea of the new "lavender" drinks they're hyping now.
