I said it before, and I'll say it again: hummingbirds are native to the Americas, and as far as I know, there are no species that are indigenous to Asia, Europe, or Africa. When writing from the perspective of a person that has never been to the Americas, the simile, "like a hummingbird" is unlikely to come readily to mind for them unless they are fond of reading ornithographical literature.

There is no sense in trying to out-stubborn a dragon, even a very small one.

Why I won't ever go on ad-driven social media: dishonest advertisers thrive on situations where you are more emotional than usual. You are more likely to make impulsive decisions, and you feel more like you need something to fix you somehow. They don't want you to be in your right mind when you make a decision. They want you to feel socially isolated, so they can sell something to make you feel like you fit in. They want you to feel inadequate, so they can sell you an illusion of self-worth.

How to protect your kids from online sexual predators:

LISTEN TO YOUR KIDS, YOU IDIOT.

Also, take an interest in your kids' online social lives. Look, if your kid can't be stopped from wanting to pretend they are a winged fox or something without also utterly alienating them and losing their trust, then make your own fursona, and try to learn something about their community, its leaders, its issues, and its dangers. Be involved, lead, and genuinely care.

This is not complicated.
