the thing about taking a large car loan is that it is almost universally a bad idea. I traded a WRX that i suspected was going to give me problems, got fully $2k over blue book, thru a weird twist also got $1200 extra from a body shop that was paid to fix some damage that hadn’t gotten done yet, bought when used cars were expensive and new was cheap but right before rates went up, and i still think it was probably a poor choice to buy a (very reasonably priced) new car.

It’s pretty cool that a white nationalist near me caught the hyper specific charge of violating the Church Arson Prevention Act of 1996 when he tossed a couple molotovs at the church that was hosting a drag event.

@tchambers you talk about moderating with extreme care, but will there be any sort of workable moderation flow expected at start? Is there a responsive moderation team on the other side?

@tchambers @mawhrin even given that, there is a large difference between posting public on a mastodon instance and posting to the ATproto firehose. It's an intensely searchable protocol and the level of expected privacy is radically different
