Sudden realization that #Signal and #Tailscale are, at a really high level and if you have really bad eyesight, essentially "the same thing”.

Per recent boost about how Signal is largely just key exchange and contact lookup. What else is largely "just” moderating key exchange plus a bunch of endpoint client work?? Exactly!

The thing that bugs me the most about "#AI" in the #LLM age is that a bunch of presumably intelligent people heard the Bullshit Asymmetry Principle:

This is a super cool #BlueSky feature that I honestly wonder /if/ it could work on the #Fediverse? But edits, etc function seemingly fine here so I assume this would too?

Sure, minor chance for 'drift' as the detach event chases down the original post event, but again…we use edits all the time which would have the same property.

The point about binary thinking is spot-on, anyway.
