At least that seemed to be the gears turning in his head. Do you really think this is the case? As I remember, it was fairly reactionary, and was sort of spitefully borrowing tactics that had just been developed in prior scandals. -

I think her characterization was part of what bothered me about the college debt thing. They made her and the chef guy out to be "working class" like hes just a cook and shes a working girl (whore). But the joke about college debt is such a middle class, money grubbing thing to riff on, it was out of character. "Oh you didnt go 80k into debt getting your diversity and inclusion degree? You must be an evil rich piece of shit like the rest of them" -

Burgers have been elevated to a pretentious icon in their own way, which the movie plays into, undermining its own messaging. It was mostly fun though.
Oh also I thought the college debt quip was a bit cringe, but everyone I've talked to seemed to like it.
