@freya@chaosfem.tw what do you think about 32-bit abi for 64-bit processors? i think it's cool because the only "downside" is programs can only address 4gb of memory, but what program needs to do that? and if they do, they can just build for the 64-bit abi

@freya@chaosfem.tw i think so can x64 processors, but this abi is better because it means pointer sizes are 32-bit where it makes sense, but programs can still run 64-bit arithmetic and make use of modern cpu features like newer simd and stuff

also, by self-documenting, i assume you mean literate programming or something?

in hypertown this won't matter because instead of having to search "vs code how to stop having multiple cursors keyboard shortcut" you can just do "help -> documentation" and go to the section labelled "editing with multiple cursors" and read it
