@tyil@pietrodc0 cool, now write this on your blog and have fun. And really, do not assume everyone does not know what FOSS is, you might end up making a fool of yourself
@tyil@pietrodc0 🧵3/3 You’re presenting completely off-topic opinions, disturbing the author’s thoughts, and above all denying their freedom to respond when you already created a mess. This is not being mature, and honestly I’m starting to be disgusted by the fact that unfortunately this has become the routine in open source.
PS. If he wants to use Mastodon like Twitter, Facebook, or TikTok, let him use this platform the way he damn well wants.
@tyil@pietrodc0 🧵2/3 I’m tired of always having to watch out on social media because there’s always someone who feels the need to annoy others with their theories about Microsoft, Google, Mozilla, about what’s open source, what’s FOSS, what’s this and what’s that. It’s not possible that a developer, a person, can’t simply share what they’re working on without someone jumping into the comments to bust their balls over something that, objectively, nobody actually cares about.
@tyil@pietrodc0 Ah, damn, I get it. You have poor reading skills. I wonder how it’s even possible that you run a blog. Well, go preach the gospel of open source on Mastodon to people who already work in open source every single day but you have so much spare time so... here you are. Bye.
@tyil@pietrodc0 🧵1/3 You went under the post of someone who simply said they’re creating an extension for Chrome just to bother them for this and that. Let’s stick to the topic: they’re making an extension. Your ideals? Start a blog and talk to people who actually care. Don’t disturb random people on social media just because you’ve got nothing better to do.
