How are some people so loud while *talking*? They’re outside, I’m inside, the doors are closed yet they are louder than my tv! Don’t they get hearing problems from themselves??

@roadriverrail There are probably limitations here somewhere too, I don’t know the details really. All in all I have no trouble paying my taxes but it just kind of hit me that it’s a weird principle from this perspective.

@roadriverrail Apparently they lowered the tax rate (this is different per municipality, don’t get me started), so taxes will (on average) increase only 4%, not 17.

@roadriverrail They do come down as well, but this year the value number goes up by 17% on average which would imply taxes go up that much as well and that’s kind of a lot. As if the current inflation isn’t bad enough ??♀️

@roadriverrail Anyway here they make up a number what they think what your home is worth this year (or last year idk) and base your taxes off of that.

I don’t really understand property taxes on homes. Just because the value of my house went up does not mean I magically have more income with which to pay more taxes.

It’s only potential income, but even that is debatable because when I sell and buy another house that also is more expensive than it was.

It’s almost tomorrow, when I’ll be coming out at work. I’m excited and also a little anxious. Got my cutest dress ready to go.

I wanted to write a little more about that after the silly little poll I did, but it would seem I didn’t.

Anyway although the idea of going in all me is exciting, I decided against it because people won’t have context and might react in a way that I’d rather not (even though I expect it, I wouldn’t like it). I’d rather give some context first, and then change if I’m comfortable. Or don’t and come in as me on Tuesday. I’ll ride the vibes.

I do appreciate neo/fantasy pronouns because yay self expression, but also I absolutely do not understand them at all.

And I hate that I think about finding some articles about that at time that I really shouldn’t (I should go to bed instead) and that I will probably forget until some other unpractical time.
