I built my first Minisforum desktop using a barebones MS-A1, to send to Gabe from Saveitforparts as a video editing workstation.

It didn't go according to plan, but it's a neat way to build a custom PC. Wish it either fit in 1U or housed a 15mm U.2 drive! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdZ9Kx69HjI

A few times a year, I pick up an old movie or book and have a watch/read through again.

1-2 decades later, the same material can have a lot different impact.

I'm glad I have the physical media, too. I can be sure Disney or Amazon or whoever didn't go changing the story lol

Well that was easy. Wanted to get data from my Acurite 5-in-1 weather station into my Pi 5.

    1. Plug in @Nooelec NESDR + antenna
    2. Install: sudo apt install -y rtl-433
    3. Run: rtl_433

And bingo! Decoding all the weather data.

RIP. Something deceivingly simple like overlapping windows on a display was not so simple back when Bill Atkinson programmed it on the Macintosh.

Wish we had that feature on the iPad!

Oh we're gonna do this again YouTube?

Self-hosting your own media content on a Raspberry Pi is not "dangerous or harmful".

I'm appealing of course; they're saying installing LibreElec on a Raspberry Pi circumvents copyright?!

The thing I hate most about AI, in the current era:

Google, DDG, Bing, etc. are all now effectively worthless on the first 2-3 pages, for most of my queries having to do with *anything* general.

Even specific queries like 'smart outlet energy consumption card HA'.

The problem is AI slop; there are thousands of websites (even some old venerable sites that were sold off) that just have "that exact query as a web page", but the results are AI generated, and have no helpful information inside.

    @darix fine by me!

I often post a PR to a project with zero expectations whatsoever.

The only reason I post it is so (a) I can incorporate that into my own documentation or fork, and (b) so others who use the project can benefit.

If anyone on the project ever decides to merge my code, that's just icing on the cake.
