@ai6yr This has all the hallmarks of the worst crisis/catastrophe movie I have seen since December. We all laughed at the stupidity… but the script was apparently based on, with no exaggeration, the exact political responses from corporate minded elected officials. The movie even looks like it was filmed in that area. The point is: If it’s going to kill a lot of people, they won’t be around to complain about it, so, net gain for stupidity and lack of concern for survival. Meanwhile, cash in!

Have to pass on this little gem to parents out there (I’m traveling so picking up bits here and there)… : Be sure your hamster is DEAD. They hibernate. They get cold and stiff… but they are alive. That is all

@madeindex @Sable_Shade Aks the country when they want it back. It’s theirs. Not ours. Not yours. The notion that they have to meet a certain bar we set is a slippery slope. If they want it back, if they ask for the return, that should be immediate. There’s never a good time to finally return what was stolen. There’s only the moral obligation to do so.

All good?” No thanks. Destroying cultures by pulling their roots is how we get generational turmoil across the globe. Justifying it is elitist nullification of the value of other cultures. We are not superior.

The theft of objects, even of bones, human remains from villages, has always been justified and those justifications are always bullshit.

@madeindex @pzmyers @junklight Nothing justifies stealing art or cultural objects from the people who made them. Nothing. It’s the same as: “You’re too poor to raise your own children so we are kidnapping them. You’re welcome.”

People aren’t aware of this but Unions, all of them, operate as Non Profits. This bill is aimed at destroying unions in very short order. I’m surprised they aren’t raising an alarm on this bill. Do they think they are immune?

We, my friends and I, going through this PTSD, acknowledging it and that no one is coming to save us, have decided we will do what we can, where we can, how we can to save ourselves, each other and others along the way. That 2 yrs from now, if there are still elections, we will still do our best with that, but that we are not constrained to fighting the bullies by the bullies rules. It is now my path to self care and revitalizing.

Bezos and Musk are 2 steaming examples of why we should bust up media monopolies and monopolies in general. It gives too much power to a handful of people who, according to whimsy or fear, make decisions that profoundly effect the entire country, sometimes the world, and that in itself, is a form of tyranny. End the tyranny of monopolies. Give people choices and let competition build a better economy. Presently, only a handful of people control the markets and they are not us, nor do they care.

@br00t4c @oldguycrusty “vetting” was Eric & Jr telling dad that JD was the best because he liked TFG more than the others did. Apparently, while everyone was lobbying the clown, JD was lobbying the boys. I wonder if it was strip clubs, cocaine and porn? Or something else. Putin no doubt planted JD right at the head of the parade.
