@selzero Americans always get stuck on the cost point, but once you get past that one obstacle, you will find there are many further obstacles to consider. The cost or quality of the healthcare services don’t matter, if you are not able to access those services. Access is the biggest consideration in Canada.

@lindawoodrow We don’t need any growth. There is plenty of existing wealth in the world. The only problem is the distribution. If all the current wealth in the world were redistributed, it would solve all the world’s problems.

@warandpeas Explain what? How a billion people are gullible enough to believe made up stories? Or how, over the past 2000 years, the Christian church is responsible for more death and persecution, than any other military in the world.

@GossiTheDog Perhaps some people want to program their computer in Assembly, and then build a Unix kernel from scratch and run their own Acirvity Pub server, but other people like the convenience of not doing everything the hardest way possible.

@madeindex @pzmyers @junklight Even if that argument had a grain of truth, it is purely a rationalization to whitewash the crime and make everyone feel better.

@AnarchoNinaWrites @maxsol You’re right that there will always be a theoretical possibility, but anything is possible in theories. You must also consider the practical reality, and probability of something happening, based on many other factors, such as human nature, current momentum, cost / benefit calculations, and so forth.

The world is much more complicated (and depressing), than your idealistic imagination.
