I made the mistake of putting my cloth bag down in the bagged items area while I got my wallet out. I guess it thought I put another item in there without scanning it. It showed me a video of it, froze and then called over the attendant. Clearly it was wrong and the attendant apologized.

The CDC says that as of 2019 the incidence for people under 50 is 4 in 1000 but that number has been increasing because a number of factors like the ones you offered..

Definitely non zero chance before 50.

If you can afford it ask your doc if you can get them if you private pay.

If you have never had chicken pox or the vaccine talk to your doctor. I think you are at risk.

If you have had chicken pox it is unlikely to get Shingles until later in life. The 50+ should be fine unless you are immune compromised.

If you have had the chicken pox vaccine it is a lot less likely that you get Shingles. The vaccine protects you better than "natural".

You should still get Shingles vax after 50.

Shingles is so bad that some with it consider suicide.

I believe that most everyone has paralysis (atonia) during REM sleep every night. You're just fully asleep and dreaming. There are a small number of people who don't and they physically act out their dream.

I read that sleep paralysis is that you are essentially waking up out of phase. Still REM paralyzed.

The one thing I found interesting is most people will have at least one incident in their life.

I haven't had one ... yet.
