If you find your self with too much squash, this is the best way I know of to preserve it. Batter it, lay in single layers in wax paper, then freeze it. Once fully frozen put them in a freezer bag and store in the freezer. When ready to eat, fry them in oil or butter

That's is the most absurd thing I have heard in a while. They should give us a discount for using the self checkout and doing the job for them.

I normally buy pastry for hubby's breakfast but since I am an expert at stove top baking now I have been trying out different recipes and mixes. I made this last night as a small round cake .
My house smells like a bakery even 18 hours later. It's moved into the number one spot

In my 10 in cast iron frying pan

I put a lid on it. The top doesn't get brown but it is cooked all the way through. The top ends up being the bottom anyway when you flip it out of the pan. I put parchment paper in the pan when cooking so it doesn't get burnt or stick and is perfectly smooth for icing. It's my new favorite thing to do ?

I take it back. This package I did in the smaller frying pan. Regular size recipes go in the 10 inch. A full box of cake mix I do in 2, 10 inch rounds

That was actually the first cake I tried to make on the stove. It turned out great and I've been expanding ever since. Once I got a 2 layer birthday cake down I knew I could do damn near anything. First 2 pics are 2 layer cakes. Last one is a banana bread. It was my favorite til these cinnamon muffins came along.
