Ruby herself is still alive and two years younger than my mom! When photos aren’t in color ppl assume it’s Ancient History but nope, this was actually very recent history, let’s not pretend the ugliness spewed at that little girl is leftover from the 1800s or some shit… this is us, America, both then and now. Maybe more people would listen to the extreme weather warnings if #meteorologists explained that this is happening bc we broke the jet stream, so there’s no longer anything stopping the #Arctic #Wx from bleeding south.
