   Ruby herself is still alive and two years younger than my mom! When photos aren’t in color ppl assume it’s Ancient History but nope, this was actually very recent history, let’s not pretend the ugliness spewed at that little girl is leftover from the 1800s or some shit… this is us, America, both then and now. Respect for Ruby, and disgust for all those racists yelling such abuse at a child.

     Ruby Bridges age 6 first day of school and first African American student to integrate in an elementary school in the south. Look at the racist abuse this little girl got. Shit many of these mfs still alive today 🤷🏿
