Do you like the idea of running free software / Linux on everything?

Do you have some hardware collecting dust in a drawer?

Do you have fun figuring out how things break, and/or helping others break stuff?

If you answered "yes" to these questions, consider joining the #postmarketOS testing team today! It'll be fun! 🥳

Hmm... this is kinda gross @mozilla... Why does this #firefox feature even exist and why did you enable it by default?

Does anyone else have too much fun naming their devices?

The home speaker thing (aka "speaker of the house") is named "Nancy"

The bluetooth headset I use for remote meetings is "Can you hear me now"

My laptop is "lappy" (ok, wasn't creative with that one 😅)

IoT-only wifi network with "smart" things is "skynet"

I'm sure there are far better ones than these, please share!

My old #n900 booting the mainline kernel on #postmarketOS, installed on a 1TB SD card.

When this came out, flash memory was $1620/TB [1], and a 32GB SD card was *huge*. I don't think anyone expected to install a 1TB card in one. A lot can be said for maintaining backwards compatibility!

@Phaserune I like that I can adjust the tenting now, and spacing. I've owned/used the Advantage and Advantage 2 keyboards for a couple of years, and this new one is much more comfortable.

I'm not sure how I feel yet about them doing away with the physical function keys and multimedia keys... I used those quite a bit on the older generations. But this new one does include 4 "general purpose" keys at the center that can be used for anything.
