    @alex Since you're the dev of #Rebased, we need your help.

    rojogato.com switched from Akkoma to Rebased as the backend, but is still using Akkoma-FE. Local-only posts don't seem to be working (an Akkoma feature, however they still work in the Public Timeline), and neither do quote posts.

    Since Akkoma has features that rebased doesn't, the Akkoma frontend might have some incompatibility with Rebased.

    So can you please add support for Local-only posts in #Soapbox+Rebased, an Akkoma style Bubble timeline, and give Rebased better compatibility with alternative frontends like Akkoma-FE?

    @alex leafposter.club uses Pleroma-FE on p.leafposter.club, and poa.st uses pl.poa.st. Pleroma-FE isn't officially supported since you're the dev of Soapbox, so I guess I'll have to try it on my own. Thanks for helping!

    @billstclair @alex Yeah, Pleroma-FE was only designed for Pleroma, so it doesn't have some of Rebased's features like Quote posting. Rebased was created for Soapbox to have those features, hence it used to be called Soapbox-BE and its user agent still says Soapbox to this day.

    1. If I use Rebased on my server, can I continue to use Pleroma-FE as my primary frontend (or switch to another in the future)?

    2. I'm using fe.soapbox.pub on my Pleroma instance (2.4.1). How do I set Verified checkmarks or any extra badges (such as "Based") on a profile?

    Update: Akkoma does not support quoting posts in Soapbox. You must use Rebased to do it.

    As a bonus, you can even quote posts! Gleasonator runs Rebased, formerly Soapbox-BE, a fork of Pleroma, which allows posts to be quoted. For some reason, even though Akkoma supports quoting posts, I haven't been able to get it to work on Soapbox (yet). On pleroma.jamesp.org, it didn't work, and it won't work on Mastodon either.

    I forgot to mention, even Dark Mode is carried over!

    It's a good thing I signed up for a Soapbox account to try this out. :soapbox: :gleasonator: :pleroma:
