@StopForTea look I get some sites needing to make money in some form to stay online… but I just not sure what the best solution here is. I know BAT tried to solve this, but crypto and shitty owner etc(getting off track here). I think if we had some sorta browser tipping system kinda like that, but then all the different currencies… ugh its just so complicated, and I don’t want to pay a monthly patreon just because I might only liked that one post and might not come back.

Idk… it’s complicated and wish there was an easy solution.

@Jain @brodokk @Oric it does, just it is broken right now. We posted a few days ago we’re unable to process new additions right now while we’re moving to a new code based on the back end

@atomicpoet how much misskey is forks like Calckey?

@thatonecalculator Sadly because the verification step to verify the instance admin is wishing to be listed. We are going to be asking the user if their instance is using a Mastodon compatible API or Misskey compatible API. Because with the Misskey lack of "instance contact" we are going to be showing an additional field for Misskey compatible instances to put in their admin account username so we can hit the API to verify they are an admin then DM them a special link to confirm the listing.

Since Mastodon/Pleroma/Akkoma all leverage Mastodon API I am able to pull their data with /api/v1/instance, but Misskey/Calckey uses different API standard... this is how I have gone about implementing Misskey API standards... still working through the code but this so far looks to be the way I will be handling the difference.
