Mitsu: Do you think my mood improved since I started the classes?
Me: Yes, I think so
Mitsu: You think I'm less insane?

The Saturn core on the MiSTer has improved a lot in the last few months. It's much better than the Saturn emulation I get on my Anbernic RG353V.
Ultimately, I don't REALLY need MK3 and NBA Jam, the home ports on 5th gen consoles are good enough. It's just CPS3 I'm desperate for.

@xian Played Policenauts on a Japanese Saturn with a Pseudo Saturn Kai cart and the light gun, I don't know if it works well on MiSTer.
It was a lot of fun, but the action/light gun scenes are complete bullshit that require superhuman reaction time or (more realistically) unfun trial and error. You never feel like a cool badass like good lightgun games make you feel.

@xian I played Snatcher on an emulator with the keyboard a long time ago and while people complain about the lightgun segments in that they were not that bad for me, maybe keyboard is easier.

@Mitsu I said you were speaking chipmunk, not that you were one. Maybe you just learned how to speak it.

@kaia It's a military thing, I think. An instructor or superior would come up wearing white gloves, run their fingers on something you were supposed to clean and if the glove is anything less than spotless white after then you fucked up.

During SPC's outage I sold my PVM and put my MiSTer FPGA as a "computer" setup. It's not the right screen yet (that is on order and will arrive... sometime this year) but other than that, it's comfy. I've setup my BBS again and my AI client as a "door" so I can talk to an AI from a simulated Amiga (or 486, or Commodore 64, etc...)
I also got TCP/IP networking going on the Amiga core, so that's nice.

@kaia @Moon @4censord Yeah, you can probably already get Mixtral to write to you at a leisurely reading speed, no? A second 24Gb would make it faster, but is it useful to be faster as a writing assistant?
As a coding assistant, the answer would be yes.

@Moon @kaia @4censord To run 70B models or Mixtral entirely on GPU at higher bit precision (4, 5, 6 bit quants), especially with a large max context, you need more than 24gb.

@lain @parker @Moon Happy Kagi user too, but I still have to go to Google from time to time as Kagi has issues with local and french language searches.

@alex Mixtral bullshitted a bit at first, but ultimately got the answer right.

@Moon @romin Technically, by that criteria RPM was not a package manager back in the bad old days where it would trivially fuck up your system.
