Because of how society is deliberately structured, everything in their lives tells them they are normal.

It is a mindset promoted by law, social custom, and billions $USD in mass commercialism that so deeply reflects whiteness that even the slightest intrusion of not white triggers a reaction in tens of millions of people within hours.

Worse, the white Oligarchy money that flowed into Blaxploitation entertainment has engendered the same ethnocentrism mirroring whites, and promotes Black ethnicity as a monoculture virtually erasing cultural diversity within the African Diaspora in the USA and beyond.

Scientific Racism, Eugenics, literally believing non-Europeans were a different species, has a long history and thrived with government funding for centuries. By 1921, California's eugenics program accounted for 80% of sterilizations nationwide, didn't end until 1979. The pseudo-science of eugenics permeates medical education and practice, influence law, policing, and adjudication to this day.
