I don't know how many people can fit into this arena in Philadelphia, but it's full, and people are still walking in; not a single one paid to be there or to hold a sign and no photoshopping.
I've seen more #energy today here in support of Kamala #Harris than I've seen in weeks in support for Biden. That doesn't mean support hasn't been there. I think, and this is just my opinion, that ppl have been becoming discouraged in spite of all our efforts & support for each other to stave off the discouragement.
Indecision is a breeding ground for despair.
No matter our individual feelings for Biden & his candidacy, we needed this to happen.
I'm not mathematically inclined so someone else will need to do that.
On average, 3917 per 100K people age 65 & over will die this year. This age group historically votes GOP.
41 million members of #GenZ will be eligible to vote in #2024 and, though some will undoubtedly vote GOP, the expectation is that the majority will vote for Democrats.
My suggestion is we stop trying to convince baby boomers to change & start educating kids about the pitfalls of not #voting.
...Janet Yellen has warned countries around the world are moving away from the U.S. #dollar—as the spiraling $34 trillion U.S. debt pile fuels fears of #collapse—with bitcoin & crypto slowly chipping away at dollar dominance...Now, as the radical #Project2025 policy plan puts bitcoin on a collision course with gold, Yellen has said she fears U.S. financial sanctions will reduce the role of the dollar around the world, as Russia encourages the use of bitcoin and crypto...
#StormyDaniels needs help from everyone. She told Rachel Maddow that Trump's attorneys are coming after her for everything. For whatever reason they are also after her 13 year old daughter demanding personal information that is unnecessary in their effort to collect on the judgment.
If we can spend money on TikTok and other nonsensical stuff, we can help her.
Don't pay attention to the total raised. She needs that much and more.
So many average ppl can't fathom what we are facing. They say the US is a big country w/independent state governments. There's no way the government could be consolidated in a way that would risk daily living.
I say - bullshit.
Count the number of states with GOP v Dem governors. That's the 1st step of taking control. Feed the governor's ego & bank acct for 'loyalty'.
This is my post from yesterday, and it was my opinion from the day #Scotus agreed to hear the case.
ALL the TV pundits said #Trump would 'never' be granted absolute #immunity. Now, this morning, they're shocked by the ruling. With only minor differences, Scotus did as I expected.
If you aren't familiar with #UnitaryExecutiveTheory, look it up. It's the form of government Bill Barr was pushing.
...The court made three major rulings in the decision: (1) saying the right to vote is not an “enumerated political right” under Section 2 of the state’s Bill of Rights, (2) upholding the restriction on the number of advance ballots that can be delivered by one person and (3) reversing a lower court decision that dismissed the false representation claim that the measure was unconstitutional for being overly broad...
#Biden is courting Republican votes with #immigration changes at the expense of his own Democratic supporters. Between his Gaza fiasco and now immigration, he's actually losing core voters, especially young people. What will it take to make him understand this isn't his daddy's election? Who are his campaign advisors, and why aren't they stopping him?
The butt wipes in Congress who wish to protect Trump from further consequences will eventually face their own, and so will the men and women in the judiciary, including the "Supreme Court Justices". I have to believe that it will happen. How else can we continue?
I think the teacher on the Trump jury, not one of the attorneys, should be elected foreperson. Attorneys, in general, have big egos. Teachers, on the other hand, are experienced getting a group of people to work together for a common goal. They are trained to handle multiple personality types and to manage differences of opinion. They are calm under pressure.
#Biden can use this just as Trump says he would, but will he?
...#InsurrectionAct...empowers the president...to deploy U.S. military & federalized Nat'l Guard within the U.S. in circumstances, such as to suppress civil disorder, insurrection, or rebellion...to address an insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination or conspiracy, IN ANY STATE, which results in the deprivation of constitutionally secured rights & where the state is unable, fails, or REFUSES...
I made a rather mundane comment about Barron Trump on TikTok. I said in reply to someone else that I believe he will need therapy for a long time. I didn't say anything specifically derogatory. Of course, my comment was attacked, then when the attackers couldn't come up w/anything better, they attacked my appearance in my profile picture
But the criticism of me is beside the point.
Many of the people said Barron Trump will be President after his father. It's what they want. #autocracy#Vote
This is infuriating. I don't have money invested...anywhere, but if I did, it wouldn't be in Exxon or any other oil company
Mega corporations have always used #lawsuits to get what they want & SCOTUS has always obliged, but the frequency & targets has increased & the targets are increasingly becoming "small people".
..."What purpose does this have other than sending a chill down the spines of other investors to keep them from speaking up & filing resolutions?"... 1/2
It's not that hard to #imprison#Trump, but everyone in the legal system seems to think it is. Would it cost a little extra money? Sure, but that's minimal compared to the damage he's causing.
Put him in solitaire with his own private guard from the Secret Service or from the prison guard staff. Why would that be any different than any other SS assignment?
Otherwise, build him his own little concrete cell block with rotating Secret Service detail. Or detain him at Guantanamo Bay.
I think it may be time for #JackSmith & #DOJ to file a #superseding#indictment against Trump for the charge of #sedition. From what I've read over the past several months is that charge wasn't included originally bec they didn't think they needed it & they believed it would be too difficult to prove intent. Well, what do they say now that SCOTUS is about to immunize him? Sedition is certainly NOT within the scope of official capacity of a President. From where I sit, it may be the only chance
Forgiving yourself can be much harder than forgiving other people. I'm not there yet. I have a tendency to share more personal information than I should or that anyone wants to hear. My first grade teacher's message on my first report card said, "Patty talks too much". Some things never change. I have strong opinions and usually don't mind sharing them. I like living alone, but sometimes it really sucks. #LGBTQ advocate #MentalHealthAdvocate #Soccer #MLS
