    Oh, ich bin gerade über ein altes Blogposting von Cem Basman gestolpert. Er hatte im Frühjahr 2008 acht Twitter-Größen interviewt. Als Metriken dienten damals Following, Followers und Updates.

    Die Kieler Nachrichten haben in der heutigen Wochenendausgabe als Aufmacher einen Artikel über Probleme bei der IT-Umstellung auf Open Source in Schleswig-Holstein. Namentlich kam die Vorsitzende des Schleswig-Holsteinischen Richterverbandes, Christine Schmehl, zu Wort. Das klang für mich recht dramatisch, darum war ich neugierig auf die Details. Die Punkte von Christine Schmehl sind:

    • In der Woche habe es an mehreren Tagen im ganzen Land mehrstündige Ausfälle des neuen E-Mail-Programms gegeben.
    • Kalender- und Filterfunktionen seien nicht mit Outlook vergleichbar.



    Der Digitalminister kommt dann am Ende des Artikels zu Wort:
    Digitalminister Dirk Schrödter (CDU) sagt auf Nachfrage, dass man versuche, „den Umstieg für die Mitarbeitenden so reibungslos wie möglich zu gestalten und die Migration durch gezielte Schulungen zu unterstützen“. Gleichzeitig müsse sich jede Mitarbeiterin und jeder Mitarbeiter „der Herausforderung, mit neuen Lösungen zu arbeiten, auch stellen. Auch diese Erwartungshaltung wird formuliert."

    1. cryptocurrency (ponzi scheme)

    3. no usage without telephone number

    5. no reproducible builds on apple devices


    So, what kind of messengers do we have. Let's take a look at Mike Kuketz' Messenger Matrix. This list recommends seven menssengers.

    Let's see how many are left when we include jwz's points:

    Vorhin hatte ich mich gefragt, was denn der Volker Pispers eigentlich so macht. Wikipedia sagt mir, dass er zuletzt im Februar 2021 etwas auf seiner Homepage geschrieben hatte.

    Open source projects have to deal with a growing number of low-quality vulnerability reports based on AI. See for example this comment from Daniel Stenberg, maintainer of #Curl:

    I'm sorry you feel that way, but you need to realize your own role here. We receive AI slop like this regularly and at volume. You contribute to unnecessary load of curl maintainers and I refuse to take that lightly and I am determined to act swiftly against it. Now and going forward.

    You submitted what seems to be an obvious AI slop "report" where you say there is a security problem, probably because an AI tricked you into believing this. You then waste our time by not telling us that an AI did this for you and you then continue the discussion with even more crap responses - seemingly also generated by AI.

    Jürgen Schmidt (er ist unter anderem Leiter von heise Security) hat auf heise.de einen schonungslosen Kommentar zu den dramatischen Sicherheitsproblemen von und mit #Microsoft geschrieben. Am liebsten würde ich ihn vollständig zitieren. Aber das geht natürlich nicht, darum nur ein kleines Highlight:

    Zusammengefasst: Microsofts Sicherheitskultur ist dokumentiertermaßen verlottert und ihre IT-Infrastruktur unzureichend gesichert; Angreifer verschiedenster Couleur geben sich dort beim Heraustragen von Daten die Klinken in die Hand. Und herausgetragen werden natürlich auch und vor allem die Daten von Microsofts Kunden.

    Ich suche Schulungsanbieter, die für Unternehmen so etwas wie eine Grundlagenschulung zum Thema Open Source anbieten. Es soll dabei nicht einfach um Lizenzen gehen sondern beispielsweise auch um Zusammenarbeitsmodelle und moderne Software-Entwicklung, um Emotionen wie auch um persönliche Einstellungen.
