I want everyone on Mastodon to know that this is my mother. She has been this way my whole life. This was an email reply to my lament that neither parent was willing to mask indoors for a day or two, or do a rapid test before we gathered, all 4 of us, to celebrate her 80th birthday.

@MediaActivist @TheRatCantRead GREAT to connect with you, too!! I’ve always got a bottle of Henderson’s in our fridge, bang out a bit of it on spag bol, nothing like it. I’ve got a large framed McKee piece that my friend gave me for my 40th, it’s called Manchester Legends, and it’s got Moz, Ian Brown, Noel Gallagher, and Guy Garvey. Moz and Ian Brown both broke my heart later on, Moz being a nationalist POS and Ian becoming pro-virus. 😩

I’m a bit biased, my bestie of 14 years is from there and lives there, and I’ve had the pleasure of spending part of my 40th birthday week there with her! I’m a Yank in Kansas City, but my heart is with Sheff!!
