Hi everyone!
We're looking for some help with maintaining our Apache templates. Currently, we focus our efforts mostly on Nginx due to being more familiar with it. But we'd like both to be available to our users.
If you're willing to get involved, please let us know on our forum!
Our quick installer is back!
You waited a long time for this and we are sorry for the inconveniences. You can now use the quick installer to upgrade to Funkwhale 1.3.0.!
This happened because we changed the way the back- and frontend are connected and forgot to update the config file for the quick installer. This resulted in Funkwhale just showing the loading screen.
Thanks everybody for reporting the issue and for your patience.
If you still have any issues please let us know.
Hi everyone!
The vote has ended, and we now have a communications group! From now on, @cda and @PaulaToThePeople will be handling Funkwhale's social media and communications channels 🐳
You can find out more about Ciarán here: [https://fosstodon.org/@cda/109262553244023252](https://fosstodon.org/@cda/109262553244023252)
And Paula has a website here: [https://paulatothepeople.eu](https://paulatothepeople.eu)
@dsfgs The Funkwhale project runs a Funkwhale server over at https://open.audio. We don't have an alternate Fediverse handle, but we do also announce things over on our forums https://forum.funkwhale.audio/t/announcements.
@dsfgs Hi!
We currently run a lot of our own infrastructure, and it's a lot of work. Since Fosstodon aligns with our project's goals, it seemed like a good fit.
Having a fediverse account that's not tied to our own infrastructure also means we can communicate in the case of an outage 😃
Hi members o/
It's time for another vote! This time it's for the all-important communications group. This group will be responsible for writing content and posts to keep you all up-to-date on what we're doing.
Members can vote in our forum here:

@gllmhyt You can export all the data, install a new instance using the quick install and import the data again.
If you are seeking help, please use our support channels. We cannot offer technical support or help here.

New blog post:
Funkwhale 1.3.0 is finally here! Let's go through some of the changes in this blog post!
@thisven No offense taken, I'm just curious if we can improve here :)
Its true, using different instances is better for the network. There is a lot of work left for us to do to reach this goal. We are currently thinking about offering hosted instances for something like 10-15 bucks a month. But thats early stage.
@Dricc What exactly do you want to do? You already can follow channels hosted on Funkwhale.
@Dricc Hi, sorry I lost track of the discussion. Thank you for pinging us again!
Its true you cannot follow users on Funkwhale right now, but we are working on it! But its already possible to follow Channels and libraries, so if a podcast or artist is published on Funkwhale, you can get notifications of new uploads in your Feed!
@thisven Can you shed some light on why you consider open.audio to be problematic?
The spring is behind us and the summer is finally here! Check out the blog for more information! https://blog.funkwhale.audio/2023-april-may-update.html #Funkwhale
