@Humpleupagus I heard an in-depth explanation of why Alexander Hamilton was crypto and George Washington was a Cromwell-like character in this context. It made a lot of sense. I don't know if the revolution was entirely fake but it was at the least co-opted by the usual suspects.

@Moon Yea it would be pretty different, at least on the front end. It would probably have wider appeal though, more people are into foss than fedi. I expect there'd still be a problem getting (cis) women to use it. Although depending on how much of a joke project it is that might not be a problem.
