📽️ Tonight I watched Return to Oz for the first time since I was a kid, and was surprised to find that the pure fright The Wheelers once inspired has faded to a ghost of what it was, but Mombi still creeps me the hell out.

Debating leaving Masto. The different servers make it difficult to easily keep in touch & stay apprised of all the people I DO care about following, my server is mostly dead now, & going to a new one is a whole process I'm generally unenthusiastic about undertaking.

If this was my primary platform, I'd maybe feel differently but interactions are sporadic at best- not just for me but for almost everyone I see, and I've never been a fan of certain things about this place.

So, yeah. Pondering...

A Quiet Place: Day One was all right. I've seen it get lots of praise and while I do think it has two very decent performances that save it from being terrible, I didn't find it all that memorable or believable. I have no problem suspending my disbelief to the apparent reality involving the aliens, but the "no sound" rule was really inconsistent and like, there was no way that cat would have not meowed (or survived that underwater scene.)

One of my favorite things about #Evil was its decision to use practical effects & costumes for the demons, with embellishments and not total dependence on CGI. It really helped ground the show, and the demons were amazing & creepy as hell.

@jacklaridian Thanks 😁 He's adorable so I really want it to work out. I'll be patient and try all of the advice everyone's been giving. Mostly I was just worried about how antagonistic they were towards each other because I am not sure what's "normal" and what's a cause for alarm.

@jacklaridian I got him neutered, vaccinated, checked out by a vet, and tested for feline leukemia and HIV (negative for both.) He doesn't have fleas or parasites. She says he's totally healthy- he had an ear infection so she gave him a shot & some drops I can give him.

Ok, thanks for the info- that's helpful. I've never had a male cat and my cat's never been around another; I've been googling but it's giving me conflicting info.
