I agree with you totally, i think there's just a kind of stripping away of communal ethos that is so complete within idk first world consumer society, where asking for literally anything including just company/conversion ("emotional labour") is treated like a huge burden or imposition, it is a really complete alienation the privileged first worlder has as there is so little possibility of community

yeah, it do kinda suck, lemmy and reddit has this weird combination of very young and naive just figuring shit out, and very old (in spirit) having never really questioned anything in their lives and getting angry about it
