   @tech_prole "I'm wrong and I hate you and I'm blocking you so don't bother responding" indicates that someone doesn't think communication about the issue is possible, and sees someone as a threat to be defended against. This isn't communication, it's a slap across the internet. Social violence.

   When people don't feel like they have to resort to violence, communication can be achieved.

     @Anarkat the term 'call in' as opposed to 'call out' is a nice way to put it

     it depends tho on the person messaging you directly, how willing they are to see your side, their mental state etc. boundaries

     I would rather get angry people messaging me who want to talk with me about why I'm an idiot than no one telling me why I'm an idiot, and a bunch of people telling me why I'm right.
