@evan The nearest real river is the Mohawk, and it's about 5K from here. There's also a kill about 1.5K from me. Big enough to show on a map but I wouldn't call it a river.

@evan "About a quarter" seemed safe-ish but there are so many other variables in any situation that it makes any answer useless. "It's too soon" never means, "…but ask me again later" in my experience. Of course the likelihood of rejection isn't the only factor but I don't know anything useful about those either.

@evan @Ronkjeffries It seems like it would be totally bonkers if there were more secondary services than individual accounts on the Social Web, or even an equal number. Does that make me a Strong Agree? Or have I missed a key distinction?

@evan The section on North America seems to include visiting gravesites and memorials, in which case my "strong no" vote was an inaccurate response. However, I don't see pausing to reflect or keeping a photo of someone who is gone in the same category as keeping an altar, making offerings, or ritualized exhumation and reburial of a body. Maybe I should; it's not something I've given much thought to before now.
