A few weeks ago we shared some of the music we at Team Thunderbird use to get focused. We'd love to know what tunes - songs, playlists, or even genres - help you flow through that Monday morning inbox. ✉️ 🎧
Avoid missing attachments in Thunderbird with attachment keywords that you can customize!
Go to Thunderbird Menu > Settings > Composition, and scroll to 'Attachments.' Click on 'Keywords' to maintain YOUR custom keyword list. 📎
If you're, ahem, strategically not attaching documents when you say you've attached them, you can turn reminders off across Thunderbird in Attachment Settings - or disable reminders for the current message when the attachment reminder pops up. 😉
Getting ready for Halloween, recovering from changing the clocks, or dreaming about fall on a spring day down south? We hear you! Today we're listening to some spooky Lofi tunes to get in the work groove and have more treats than tricks. What are your tunes to get energized, find focus, or wind down? 🎧 🎃
For those of us receiving email in multiple languages, it would be awesome to have #Firefox Translate built in to Thunderbird. No sending your sensitive conversations to a corporate cloud, just a lean translation service running locally.
We've decided to make it a development priority for Q1 2024!
Like the legend of the phoenix, we're resurrecting Mozilla Send, an end-to-end encrypted file share service, and bringing it under our wings as Thunderbird Send. In this clip from S1E5 of the ThunderCast, developer Chris Aquino gives us a sneak peak of the new - wait, old - er, reborn project! Learn how #Thunderbird Send will help you overcome your file upload woes, respect your privacy, safeguard against abuse, and hopefully change your #email experience for the better.
Hi Fediverse, we're Thunderbird, an #opensource#email client available for free on Linux, macOS and Windows. (And coming next year to Android. FINALLY, right?)
You can use Thunderbird for managing an unlimited number of mail accounts, calendars, newsgroup accounts, and RSS feeds. You can also chat using your @matrix account.
💙 LIKES: Open standards, privacy, freedom, customization.
Our next podcast episode is all about #RemoteWork. Do you have tips or software suggestions for working remotely? We want to hear from you!

The Thunderbird team is back from Mozilla’s All-Hands event, and we’re overwhelmed in the most positive way.
Ryan, Jason, and Alex talk about how Mozilla is building AI tools for the good of humanity, and how our own perception of AI has changed. Plus, the problem with the “hey Mozilla, just build a browser” argument.
It seems like every service that offers social media management (for example Hootsuite, GoCharlie, Buffer) is pushing community managers and marketing folks to use #AI to generate posts, and even entire campaigns.
Just wanted to emphasize that every word you see here is generated by a human, and it always will be.
While we believe there are opportunities for AI that might benefit humanity, the time-honored tradition of talking to our fellow humans is NOT one of those opportunities!
Happy Monday, Thunderbird family! Our entire team is currently descending on Montreal for @mozilla All Hands 2023.
For the vast majority of us, it'll be the first time we're all meeting in person. This is ridiculously exciting!
In addition to networking with the broader Mozilla family, we're going to be busy planning out the roadmap for 2024 + 2025, brainstorming new features, and figuring out how to keep growing this amazing community.
