I would like everybody to know that I was writing "no media" with the letters spaced out, "N O M E D I A", and then had deleted it letter by letter. The result was my screen reader spelling out "A I D E M O N", AI demon. I'm far more amused than I should be about this very strange fact. Lol.

There's a rattly cat toy ball, it has plastic things and I think a bell inside it, in my house. My cat just started playing with it at 4:30 in the morning in the room with wooden floors right above my head and scared the absolute crap out of me. Good thing I was awake already or I may have had words. Lol

Your friendly reminder, since it's April Fools Day. It is only a joke if you, *and* the person you're joking with, find it funny. If only you find it funny, that is not a joke. That is you being a jerk under the excuse of joking. Please do not try to pull "jokes" that could actually hurt someone. And yes, emotionally hurt does count as hurting someone. Not everything has to become something you play with, and there are likely many things you should absolutely not play with. Take care of yourselves and those around you. Have a good rest of your day. This is not a subpost, I just tend to see people pulling things on April fools that are far from funny to all parties and I feel this needs to be said.

@Fragglemuppet I haven't had the chocolate version, I only know one kind, so I'm probably not an accurate judge

@Fragglemuppet @J3317 @Kingslayer @Bri Hmm. Interesting, I was just curious if maybe I'd had them under a different name.

Hi brain. Are you having fun making everything, especially my music, sound a tiny bit higher pitch than it actually is? I bet you are. Thank you for this useful alteration of my sensory experience!

Thank you NVDA, this is incredibly useful. I absolutely love this thing I just came across on a website. I just came across:

@TheQuinbox @BTyson This is me too. I’ve never known how to describe it other than that it’s visual. I think in some part it’s based on things I’ve felt, but I don’t usually picture them as if I’m touching them. It’s more like I can just see it, its shape, its details, its texture almost, with no touch involved. I can imagine touching something, but that’s different than my visual mapping of a place, object, environment, or anything else. I don’t even know how it came to be, which is another weird aspect. If I could help in this thread I certainly would, but unfortunately I don’t know how I built this up. It’s just there.

Also. I know many people have said this before, but I'm going to say it again. Just because someone has it worse doesn't mean someone isn't allowed to be stressed out or have struggles. Just because there's homelessness or poverty or whatever is "worse" doesn't mean someone's not allowed to be stressed out about their own "smaller" problems. Yes. These things are awful. Yes there are bad things happening. But the existence of these bad things *does not* invalidate other, more "trivial" issues. People's problems are people's problems no matter how trivial they seem to you. If a person is struggling, maybe don't tell them their feelings aren't reasonable because people are dealing with worse. Struggling. Is not. A competition. Struggling. Is not. Something to quantify and rank. Struggles are struggles. Everyone's life experience is different. How about have some decency and compassion and support everyone through whatever is bothering them. Fuck.

@svenja Yeah. Unfortunately I'm not a coder, or i would've fixed this myself.

@svenja Yeah. Again, very unfortunate. It gets tiring going back and forth. I would just stick with semaphore but that doesn't have notification sounds and I do really want those in my client.

I still really, reeeeeally wish someone would fix the enafore crash whenever someone quotes posts. Or make a new fork of it to fix this bug. Getting very tired of switching back and forth between enafore and semaphore because someone quoted something that my client noped out on.

@svenja I don't think any of the pinafore/semaphore/enafore family actually display quote posts properly

@svenja That's unfortunate. I really, really like this client, but this one bug really really ruins it.

@svenja Like I said semaphore is great, and I'd stick with it and ditch enafore completely if Semaphore had sounds for notifications. It annoys me to not have that. Otherwise yes I agree with you.

Mildly curious if any of my blind followers, or any blind people who happen to see this, do much gaming on mobile platforms (iOS/android/etc), or if most blind gaming is done on desktop these days. I feel like most of the accessible games tend to lean towards being on Windows, and a bit on mac, but I was curious if anyone played on mobile platforms, either as a complementary experience to desktop or console gaming, or even as a preference. If anyone does, what are your favorite mobile games? Not inherently looking for recommendations, just kinda starting a discussion because I'm curious.
