Hello wonderful beings in the fediverse! It's been a while since I've been on here, but as I did last year I wanted to talk about Valentines day, particularly about love. So many people make today exclusively about romance, and I don't believe that's what it has to be. There are so many different kinds of love you're allowed to celebrate, completely outside of romance. Sure, go out with your partner, or partners, if that's your thing. Do something fun with a friend and show them how much you value them, if you either have no partner, don't want one, or just feel like spending this day with a friend. Visit with your family member or members, if that's what you want. Do all of them throughout the day, if you feel like you can, and want to. Tell your special partner(s), friend(s), or family member(s) how much they mean to you. And if you don't feel like spending today with anyone, then do something for yourself, because self care is okay. There is a distinction between love and romance, and I firmly believe Valentines day is about love, in all its forms. So go out there and express whatever kind of love you feel like you can. Happy Valentines day.
